We believe true residential treatment begins with discipleship. At the Paul Allen Kingsbury School for Men, we house, train, develop, and disciple nearly 100 persons every six months to live the crucified Christian life. This life will grant all of mankind freedom from the penalty of sin, as well as provide them with the relationship with Christ necessary to enjoy their freedom from the power of sin. Our men and ladies enjoy daily chapel messages from our staff of dedicated teachers. Most days, chapel is taught by our ministry founder and president, Steven Curington. Our men’s home boasts beautiful facilities and luxurious sitting rooms for relaxation between work and studies. Our student’s bedrooms and our visitor’s guest rooms both offer great accommodations and spacious sleeping quarters. You will find your stay in our school dormitory facility to be one of quiet comfort, despite the busyness of the ministry. Our women’s school of discipleship currently houses 40 ladies, and we are renovating a new facility that could house as many as 65 when necessary. Operated nearly identically to our men’s schools of discipleship, this residential program will protect your ladies from many of the perils of society while we leading them to become the vessel that God intended. Our ladies enjoy spacious rooms and quiet comfort in this beautiful facility which is awonderful miracle of our ministry. |

As a young girl, I had rebelled against all my authorities. I had figured out that with a little makeup and my sister’s ID, I could get more attention from older men at night clubs. I was pretty, and they didn’t seem to care about my age. I became fascinated with the night life.
I knew nothing about God and lived like there was no tomorrow. But after ten years of tomorrows, I realized I was running out of them! I was hopelessly addicted to drugs and alcohol, and now pregnant. With nowhere else to turn, I pulled out a Bible and burst into tears over my feelings of hopelessness. I feared I would never be a good mom. Then, my doorbell rang. With tearstained cheeks, I was greeted by two men who invited me to church. That Sunday, I attended church for the firstt time in my life and was saved soon after. But I desperately needed help to change my life.As I searched for answers, I came to know about the ministry of RU, and enrolled in the ladies home. Since that time, God has set me free from my addictive behavior and has given me a life that is worth living!
I now work for the RU Schools of Discipleship full time. I am finally a good mother to my daughter and married to a godly Christian preacher who graduated from the men’s home a few years earlier. Girls, if you give this home a chance, He will replace your pain with great gain. I promise you He can. I have seen it happen in hundreds of ladies that are just like you and me.

I had everything going for me. I was a wealthy physical therapist and had a beautiful family, ranch, horses, and ponds on my property. However, I made many small compromises that led to great disasters. I allowed the stress of my life to lead me to alcohol and soon thereafter to drugs. I was arrested 13 times for drunken driving, the last of which nearly cost the lives of many. I woke up in jail, which was not uncommon for me, but soon found myself revoked of my driving license and my license to practice medicine.
It was in this desperate position that I was first introduced to the RU program. I began by attending their meetings in the jail and eventually the meetings at Grace Baptist Church in Ohio upon my release. At my judicial hearing for what was supposed to be two to five years in prison, I was miraculously court ordered to the Men’s Discipleship Home in Rockford.
That was 2002. Today, I work full time in this wonderful Christian ministry. I have a beautiful home, beautiful wife and family, and have gained full privileges to drive again. As a matter of fact, our God is so good that the day after I miraculously received my license back, my wife shot a hole in one at a golfing event and won a prize—you guessed it, a beautiful Cadillac! Yes, God is so good, and I am so unworthy. Won’t you give God the same opportunity to do for you what I have personally seen Him do in the lives of hundreds of other people just like me? I give you my word, you won’t be sorry, and I commit to helping you while you are here.
